Minority Engineering Student Organizations

Lambda Psi Engineering Honorary is an undergraduate honorary which targets underrepresented minorities within the College of Engineering . Members can be from any engineering discipline, but they must have received a 3.5 or higher GPA at least one of the two quarters prior to application. Activities include study tables, professional development workshops, a book club, and community service.

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE ) at Ohio State is dedicated to increasing the number of culturally responsible black engineers. Members are encouraged to excel academically, succeed professionally, and make a positive impact upon our community.

Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) is devoted to the promotion of the advancement of Hispanic students in engineering, architecture, and other technical sciences. Activities include plant tours, professional development workshops, and social events. American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) is an engineering organization whose mission is to nurture building of community by bridging science and technology with traditional Native values. AISES' ultimate goal is to be a catalyst for the advancement of American Indians and Native Alaskans as they seek to become self-reliant and self-determined members of society. Activities include professional development workshops, providing assistance with organizing the annual Powwow, social events, and attending regional and national conferences.
